Individual Therapy

“You’re perfect just as you are… and you could use a little improvement”

-Shunryu Suzuki

Whatever brings you to therapy, my intention is to hold an open, curious and safe space for you to connect more deeply with your experience and for us to collaborate in finding ways to support you. I work with teens, adults and elders. Some of my areas of interest and experience include:

  • Life transitions

  • Grief

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Stress and burnout

  • Trauma

  • Struggles in relationships

  • Self-doubt / self-esteem

  • “Inner critic” and perfectionism

  • Existential questions (meaning and purpose in life) and searching for goals and direction

  • Personal Growth

Life Transitions and Personal Growth

I'm constantly humbled and inspired by the ways we can learn and grow from slowing down, receiving support and exploring the many layers of our experience. When we are able to meet life's challenges with compassion and curiosity, I believe we deepen our capacity for intimacy and connection with ourselves and others.

Anxiety and Depression

I take a holistic approach to working with anxiety and depression, keeping in mind the many factors that can contribute to it (career, relationships, environment, social issues, family and upbringing, etc.) as well as the various ways we can experience it (cognitively, emotionally, physically/somatically, and spiritually). I often bring in somatic and mindfulness approaches to better understand and attend to our experience as well as practical tools for managing and reducing stress and anxiety.

Grief Counseling

There are many forms of grief. Whether it’s the death of a loved one, a loss of a part of our identity, or the anticipation of no longer having something we care about, I honor the importance of all the ways grief shows up in our lives. I find that letting ourselves mourn and being witnessed and supported in this process helps us move through the experience with care and towards greater integration and meaning.
