Couples Therapy
Types of Relationships
I understand that our relationships can be both some of the most valuable and challenging aspects of our lives. Relationships often have a way of reflecting to us the most wonderful aspects of our lives and ourselves, as well as our greatest struggles and fears. I welcome all formations of relationships including:
Dating
Pre-marital
Marital
Monogamous
Consensual Non-Monogamous (Open, Polyamorous, etc.)
Themes of Couples Counseling
I am passionate about helping couples reconnect to what draws them together, learn from what causes friction or pulls them apart, and more skillfully communicate and support one another through the inevitable ups and downs of life and their relationship. I aim to help couples better understand the cycles they get stuck in and find accountability and agency for their contribution to these patterns. I also support couples in exploring and deepening intimacy in all its forms (emotionally/psychologically, physically/sexually, energetically/spiritually, etc.)
Transitions within relationship (moving in/out, getting married, having children, opening relationship, considering separation/de-coupling, etc.)
Improving communication
Nurturing and deepening connection
Codependency
Finding balance between connection and autonomy
Sex and intimacy
Parenting
Repair after a rupture (infidelity, emotional withdrawal, etc.)
Revitalizing long term relationships
Personal exploration and growth
